GRAPHING  - The students are collecting data, and creating and reading graphs.

MEASUREMENT  - Measuring length, height, weight, and capacity, as well as ordering lengths will be emphasized.

PLANE and SOLID SHAPES  - The students will observe and recognize, identify, and compare two-dimensional shapes and 3-D shapes.

NUMBERS 0 -10 - The students will begin to understand the concept of whole numbers zero to five to include: counting, one-to-one correspondence, comparing sets, and ordinals.

POSITIONS & DIRECTIONS - The emphasis of the lessons is on identifying and modeling position and direction.

ATTRIBUTES - Students will begin to understand the concept that objects have various characteristics or attributes. These attributes include color, shape, and size. Students will be given opportunities to match objects using one-to-one correspondence, therefore recognizing more, less, and equal groupings.

PATTERNS - Students will explore patterns by identifying, describing, copying, extending, creating, and using patterns to problem solve.

Color and Shapes - Learning shapes and colors allows children to group or classify items -- children develop their ability to make logical connections -- a precursor to both math and language arts. Recognizing the colors and identifying the color names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words.

PAIRS - The students will identify things that have the same attributes and are used together.

PRAYER

Jesus, fill me with the light of your love and faith.

Make me shine in the darkness

and touch the lives of others

with the light of your goodness.

Praying the Stations of the Cross is a Lenten tradition. The Stations of the Cross are a special devotional prayer to help us to recall the tremendous love of Jesus Christ as He suffered and died for our salvation.

Prayers

Guardian

Angel

Prayer

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women,
and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Prayer Before Meals

Bless us, O Lord, and these your gifts
which we are about to receive from your goodness.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
